Craig Tomlinson’s life has been defined by faith, family, and service to Canada. With more than 30 years of leadership experience spanning military service, aviation, small business, and federal politics, Craig brings a proven record of discipline, integrity, and results.
Craig joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) in 1998 and served over 20 years as a military pilot. After completing flight training in Moose Jaw, SK and Portage la Prairie, MB, he was selected to fly helicopters and was posted to 427 Special Operations Aviation Squadron in Petawawa, Ontario, flying the CH-146 Griffon. From 2006 to 2009, he flew exclusively in support of Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM), working alongside Canada’s elite units, including JTF 2, CSOR, CJIRU, and other foreign units with a focus on domestic counterterrorism and national security.
In 2009, Craig was posted to CFB Moose Jaw, where he became an A Category Instructor on the CT-156 Harvard II. There, he trained both student and instructor pilots, shaping the next generation of RCAF leaders. He also helped develop and implement flight training policy, interpreted RCAF regulations, led training reforms, and investigated aircraft incidents and accidents—demonstrating strong strategic and operational leadership.
In 2016, Craig was posted to 2 Canadian Air Division in Winnipeg, where he served as a subject matter expert in RCAF flight training and represented Canada at NATO and international forums. That same year, he and his family chose to make Niverville their permanent home.
Craig retired from the RCAF in 2018 at the rank of Major joining the private sector where he briefly flew for a major Canadian airline attaining an Airbus A320 rating. He spent two years consulting for a large American defence company, advising senior leadership on Canadian flight training doctrine and military standards.
Beyond his military service, Craig and his wife Becky operated a home-based travel agency for eight years while raising their three children—Ethan, Zachary, and Hannah. His experience as a small business owner gives him firsthand understanding of the challenges facing entrepreneurs and families. Craig also volunteered in the various communities he lived earning the Queens Diamond Jubilee medal for his community service in 2012.
After several years of volunteering with the Provencher Electoral District Association, Craig was hired to be the Chief of Staff to the Member of Parliament for Provencher in 2021 where he currently works today. In this role, he leads constituency operations in Steinbach and Ottawa, assists residents across the riding, and has successfully managed two federal election campaigns.

I am running to bring experienced, principled leadership not only to the riding of Springfield-Ritchot, but to the province of Manitoba at a time when I believe we need it most.
My life has been molded by my faith, my family and service — to Canada, and the various communities throughout the country where I have resided.
Our province needs steady leadership focused on the priorities that matter most: supporting families, strengthening our economy, ensuring safe communities, and providing for the next generations.
I believe that service to my community and country is not only a privilege, more important a responsibility.
After decades of leadership experience, I have learned to listen carefully, act pragmatically, and work tirelessly.
Together, we can build a stronger future for our families and our communities.
